Sheltered by an historic seawall, the new VeerseKreek resort is located in a beautiful countryside environment directly on the Veerse Meer sea lake. Inspired by the beautiful historic fishing villages of the area and the unique rural landscape, VeerseKreek includes a new contemporary fishing harbour with boats, water filled canals, and a series of interconnected fishing lakes which form a unique aqua environment.

 

Generously planned gardens which are full of moments of delight, are shared with a new fishing village environment, where every home is meticulously planned to enjoy beautiful sunlight, vast landscaped gardens, water filled lakes and the unique Zeeland landscape.

 

The resort is carefully planned to create special vistas focused towards Wolphaartsdijk church and windmill, opening views across the unique Zeeland landscape, and capturing a hemisphere of daylight at every moment. A new village square hosts local artisan shops and a fish market, a specialist seafood restaurant, lush landscaping and an aquapark. Children’s playgrounds, south facing beaches, garden kitchens and secluded outdoor living rooms are all integrated within a locally inspired and sustainable landscape.

 

The architecture is inspired by traditional and local Dutch homes, and incorporates natural and locally inspired materials and rich architectural details. Clever organisation of space, and strong references to locally crafted materials and details, create a unique and sustainable new generation of Zeeland architecture.

Traditional local flora and fauna, incredible lakes, sunlight, the smell of the wind mixed with sea water, and infinite views all combine to create a highly sustainable, contemporary and truly unique experience. Interconnecting pathways and secret trails lead to many surprising places, encouraging guests and visitors to explore the local environment of Veerhoeve.

 

Wildlife is actively encouraged to live throughout the resort, with numerous areas dedicated to rewilding, creating special natural environments for birds, animals and fish.
